IORMS South West chapter started in Osun and was officially commissioned at the Osun State University at the Sciences, Engineering &Technology Block on the 15th of November, 2018.
The visiting team from the Lagos Headquarters includes:The President/Chairman of Council, Professor Rasheed Ojikutu, Professor E. Oyatoye, the Registrar/CEO, Olusola Okesola amongst other members.
The visit also metamorphosed into the first OperationalResearch workshop in the state with workshop talks delivered by Profs Oyatoye and Ogunwolu (Systems Engineering,Unilag). The host was represented by Professor Oladele Popoola Ag. Director, Information Management Centre(UNIOSUN), State Coordinator& SA to the Governor, Mr. Gbenga Oso while the Osun state Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget &Development who wasthe Chairman of day was well represented.
Interested members in the state are fast growing and efforts are on to spread to other states (Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun) in the SW zone.
